Board meeting 2015-03-10

This week’s board meeting started with a visit from the manager of the café at the Union.  We discussed the future of the café and how to make it attractive for our students. After a dinner break we discussed the activity plan of the SciTech Proprietory Year. The arrangers have lots of fun ideas for how to make a great student reception this autumn!

We then discussed some suggestions that the Board will submit to the Union Council, that all in some way is about money. The first suggestion is about the member fee, that we want to keep at 0 SEK per year. We don’t want our members to pay to be part of the Union! The other suggestion is about the  remunerated students: for how many months should they get paid to be able to do their job?

We also evaluated the workshop we had with the sections of the Union and discussed the cooperation with the other student unions and the nations in Uppsala for a joined membership portal online.
