Member update!

In October Uppsala Union of Engineering and Sciences student update there membership register. Do you want to continue your membership, you must remember to answer yes to update the email that went out on October 5th.

Every year during October Uppsala Union of Engineering and Sciences student, UTN, update their register of members. We do this in order to determine how many seats each section shall have in the union council during the next years. The more members of your section taht also are a member of the union, the more influence and delegates they receive.

 

Because the union  is working to improve our education programs  and enrich our student life, it´s all students that schould direct and influence the union's work. To be a member of UTN, you should study at undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate level in a program or courses given by the Faculty of science and technology.

 

Being a member of the Corps is free, and instead of asking members to renew their membership by paying a membership fee, we sent an email where you, by a simple click, can confirm that you still are a student at the Faculty of science and technology and that you would be a member in UTN during the next year. If you have not received the email, you can read possible causes to this, further down in the post.

 

Being a member of the union not only means that you and your department have more influence as a member, but you also

  • Support the union's efforts to improve education and study environment. The more we are, the stronger our voice!
  • Receive discounts on all our fun events and parties.
  • Get updated on everything that happens with our newsletter.
  • Get the opportunity to get the union magazine Techna.
  • Get a chance to be involved in the union, which is super fun and worthwhile!

Have you graduated?
If you have graduated from the  Faculty of science and technology you can instead join the union's alumni network. UTN's alumnregister is integrated with Uppsala University own alumnregister. Once registered as an alumnus on www.alumnnatverk.uu.se you can choose to be a mmember of Uppsala Engineering and Sciences students alumni network too. You can also join the unions alumni groups on Facebook and LinkedIn. Contact arb [at] utn.se if you want to know more.

Do you like UTN's work and want to continue to support it,  even if you are no longer studying at Faculty of science and technology? Then you can become a “supporting member” and continue to receive the newsletter, attend our events, etc.

Compete with your section!

The section with moste members at the 1th of November (percentage according to the same time last year) wins cake to all members!

If you have not received the email, it may be because:

  • That you began to study this year. The email only goes out to the members who began studying earlier than in 2014.
  • The mail has ended up in the junk mail, check there if you can not find it in your inbox.
  • That you have a messy inbox and can not find the email, search for the title "renew your membership!".
  • That you check the wrong email account, the email with the member updateinformation goes out to the email account you had specified in UTN's register.
  • That you have not become a member of the union (or not updated your membership at previous year's member updates). If you are unsure if you are a member of the union, you can easily check it on utn.se/medlemskoll. If you are not a member you get it on www.utn.se/blimedlem.
