Regular meetings with a professional scientist or engineer can make it easier to start working and make students more confident for future careers. Therefore, the faculty arrange a mentoring program for students in the final phase of their education, with mentors from the working life outside the university.
For the student trainee, the aim is to further his or her development in preparation for the future professional role. An aspiring engineer or scientist has, by their mentors, unique opportunities to gain insight into issues relating to the workplace already during the studies. The purpose of the mentorship program is, however, not to look for a job, to solve tasks or to gain referrals.
The program is for students who expect to have completed their education at some time during 2015 (2016).
