The Buddyprogramme

The Buddyprogramme is a cooperation between Uppsala Union of Engineering and Science Students, ELSA and Uppsala studentunion. The Programmes purpose is to match incoming international students with a helpful buddy to answer questions and to show how to get around in the city and society. The buddies are established students from the city and is parts of buddygroups to create friendships for the incoming new students. The arriving international students, also called newbies, will have opportunity to be a part of the orientation week hosted by the nations and volunteers. The buddies will be a support during the newbies start-up and after the orientationweek hold smaller activities in the buddygroups together with the newbies. The activities can be everything from barbecuing, tourism, playing kubb to running a pub crawl. As a buddy you can choose when you are applying if you just wants to help answering questions or wants to be a part of activities to. The Buddyprogram is active every semester start
