On the 9th of April there was a debate in the riksdag considering buildning premissions and exeptions when building and renovationg garrets for small housing.
The goverment laid a preposal stating that for buildning homes not bigger than thirtyfive squaremeters in topfloor garrets would be an exeption from the law for handicap accesabuility, stating that you need elevators in all new buildings. They where all aware of the current housing situation in Sweden but the concern for the movabuility brought up the debate and at April the 10th they acceptet the preposal laid by the Goverment.
