About a month ago the Swedish Government proposed a change in the student financial aid. The change was that the maximum loan was increased and the grant was reduced. Now they have taken back part of the original proposal.

Note: This is information for students who are using the Swedish student aid (http://www.csn.se/en/2.1034/2.1036/2.1037/2.1040/1.9366)
About two weeks ago the Union informed that the Swedish government had made a proposal that the student grant would be decreased with 300 SEK, and the maximum loan with 1300 SEK. The proposal created a lot of reactions from students and on the Unions Facebook page we got many comments about the change and many different initiatives spread on social media.
Yesterday the government informed that they now will not lower the grant, you can read more here (in Swedish).
