Boardmeeting 130213

Here's a short summary of the crazy boardmeeting this wednesday, a boardmeeting treating everything (almost) between an extra meeting with the council to the Puzzle Hunt Rally.

The meeting began as an ordinary board meeting, the board members had messages from the chapters, the management team and committees. The Board also received updates from the ongoing economic project and made some decisions in the matter.

The activity plans of the committees considered during the meeting was well thought through and updated since the last time, it seems that the committees use their activity plans as they are intended, as a document for their own activities and not only to report back to the board. Great work!

It was about here that the board stopped being a regular board meeting. As you might know, the faculty are investigating and planning to move the business currently on the ITC area (Pollax) to new premises at the Ångströmlaboratory. In parallel to this, it has been discussed about what happens to UTN and our proximity to the students when the ITC is emptied of students in a few years. The Faculty now want a quick answer about our plans and the Board took a break in the board meeting to brainstorm options to the question where UTN's activities will be hosted in the future. You will probably notice more of the issue later on.

After many phone calls, full scribbled whiteboards and crazy ideas the meeting ended with the planning of next week's discussion meeting and strategy for the University Board decision about our application to become a union next Wednesday. * Keeps fingers crossed *

The meeting ended as usual with a convivial group hug.
