Board Meeting 2012-11-28

The meeting began with a number of elections. Oscar Windahl was nominated to member of the Board of Uppstuk and Cédric Jirsell was elected to the Board of Entreprenurs Academy. Congratulations to them both!

The meeting continued with discussions of comission descriptions and activity plans. Guidelines for UTN's Pedagogical Award was revised according to the Standing Committé of Academic Affairs proposal. While nominations for UTN's honorary award as Guardian of the Pillars and UTN's Medal of Merit was discussed, which will be presented to UTN's council for the decision on the 5th of December (Today!).

The two major discussion during the meeting were project employment and Kårgruppen 2.0. Project Employment was discussed primarily with the intention of the economic activities within the organisation since the development of the economical runtins often are something that tends to fall between the ordinary tasks. Being able to delegate some smaller projects would hopefully make the work go faster through the necessary changes to maintain a stable and healthy economy. 

In the process of applying for the formal position as a Student Union further investigation, on how UTN in the future should be shaped to meet the requirements, is necessary. Therefore Kårgruppen 2.0 was discussed during the meeting.  Further investigation into what and how the group should look like will be discussed within the boad in separate meetings under the coming weeks.

After a long but effective and comprehensive meeting the board ended the meeting with a hug!
