TUN

This week it was time for meeting with the technical education committee (TUN). The meeting was very similar to the meting with NUN last week. We looked at results from the beginner survey, discussed the student service project and took decisions about educations plans for next year.

Excellent teacher

Teachers on our faculty can now apply to be called excellent teacher. Hopefully this will encourage pedagogic aspects. This weak the committee had their first meeting. The process will take time and decision will come during the spring. Do you want to do something good for your really good teacher? Soon it is time for UTN:s own pedagogic prize!

Lunch room Ångströms

If you have had lectures in Polhem- and Häggsalen at Ångström you probably have heard the noise from the new lunch room. They are building a new student lunch room with hopefully 25 new microwave ovens!

Next week:

It is time for the third meeting for this semester! Hurray! We will discuss guidelines for UTN:s pedagogic prize and discuss labour marketing.

Recruitment committee meeting

I and Tove ( head of labour affairs) are part of the faculty's recruitment committee. When someone apply for a lecturer or professors employment they go through the following process: 1. The application is read by an expert. 2. The recruitment committee decide who will come for interview. 3. Trial lecture, research presentation and interview. 4. Decision about recommendation from the recruitment committee. Trial lectrues are open for everyone and often given in english. I try to keep this schedule updated! http://www.utn.se/sv/utbildning/provforelasningar
