Hej!
This week the newsletter is written in Gothenburg. Why? You find the answer below.
NU2012
For three days over 600 people had a meeting in Gothenburg to discuss learning at university. I have heard many interesting presentations, such as a very charismatic American named William Rankin. A little tips: search for his TED conference video on youtube.
To be able to participate in something like this a privilege studentrepresentative. I have done my coolest presentation so far! Me and Tove (Head of Labour Marketing) was co-presented thethe Faculty of Science and Technology's pedagogic committee (TUR) in a room that was so crowded that people were denied to enter!
Committee meeting for the presidents of the student councils
Monday evening we had a very exciting committee meeting where we discuss the evaluationsystem. Very intresseting. It seems that the participants thought it was o good idea to invite peronal from the university. Many will agree with me that there was too little time for discussions. We keep this in mind for the next meeting!
Tuff-money
This weekI also participate in a committee that distribute TUFF money. TUFF is our facultys pedagogic fund so keep your eyes open for intresting pedagogic projects!
Next week:
Faculty board
Next week, that faculty board have a two-day meeting. There is much to be discuss but especially VP and budget for next year is the big points. Now it is time for decision on where it will be reductyions. It is a question that doubtless will be heavy and not easy to solve. I will return in the next newsletter about what is decided.
RUBIK
After a long meeting with the Faculty board I conitnue to Linköping to meet other full time working studentrepresentatvies from different eingeering unions in Sweden. The cooperation between the unions is called Reftec and just the group I sit in is called Rubik (reftecs education and internationalization committee). It is a forum for exchange of ideas, as an Education Committee on a different level!
Have a nice weekend, best whishes from
