A new lunchroom for students at the Ångström laboratory!

The campus management at Polacksbacken has decided to invest in a new lunchroom for students at the Ångström laboratory. A large amount of money is set aside for the project in the management's budget for 2012.

Since UPPMAX moved in in the former lunchroom in the basement at the Ångström laboratory there has been a rather chaotic situation during lunch time. Very long queues to the microwave ovens has also grown longer as a result of more students studying at the campus.

UTN has worked for a long time to find a permanent solution to this problem. Unfortunately the only solutions that have been possible this far has been temporary ones with extra tables and microwave ovens in the corridors. The campus management at Polacksbacken are aware of the situation and they have also been working to find a solution.

At the board meeting of the campus management on the 6th of February the budget for 2012 was set. In this budget a large amount of money is invested for the reconstruction of a lunchroom for students from what is today a library archive.

The next step is that the Building Division together with Akademiska hus are going to start a projecting group. It is important to keep in mind that the lunchroom project is a long project which will probably not be finished until at the earliest for the autumn semester 2012.
