UTN:s board consist of the president, Johan Wikander, the vice president, Henrik Vallgren, and five student members elected by UTN's council.
The board discussed action plans that the full time employed was handing in this week. One of the plans for this autumn semester is to set up a event to increase international students chances to get a job in Sweden. Keep your eyes on UTN's newsletter in the coming months! We are also looking at different ways to involve more international students in UTN.
The board will soon advertise for the president and vice president that will organise the River Rafting next year and also advertise for positions at next year’s Rekå (those in capes and funny hairstyles) that will organise the reception for engineering and computer sicence students next summer.
The action plan for entire UTN is soon finished. It will be sent out to the UTN:s section during next week at a remittance. The final action plan will be decided at UTN:s next council and includes the major activities for UTN the forthcoming year. It will include a gigantic celebration because of the 10th birthday of UTN. Hope you all will be here in February and celebrate with us.
We have discussed the membership issue. The prognoses indicate that about 50 % of the newcomers have chosen to join UTN. Our goal is higher than that so we will look into new possibilities that can attract more people to join. The board will also follow up the numbers carefully during the year.
UTN's budget will be discussed this Sunday, so you will have a new report soon.
