Are you an engineering student with an interest in water and sanitation systems? Engineers Without Borders are now looking for a new volunteer to the ongoing project Sanitation Concept for Karagwe Schools in Tanzania. Work would start immediately and go on until end of October approximately. The work would consist of designing an already chosen toilet solution with technical specifications together with two other team members with the backup from three different companies (NCC, Norconsult and Bengt Dahlgren). From the middle of August to the middle of September this person would also function as a technical backup based in Sweden, to three team members on site in Tanzania. The person will be keeping contact with our external resources as well as assisting with research that might be needed on site. The project is also sponsored partly by Sandvik and thereby supported by four companies.

We’re looking for someone that:

- Is an engineering student

- Has technical background or interest in water and sanitation systems in developing countries.

July to end of October. - Is based preferably in the Stockholm or Uppsala area.

Weekly meetings via Skype or in Uppsala/Stockholm depending on availability on Wednesdays at 17.15 are mandatory. Work is on a voluntary basis and therefore not paid.
